Corporate work is a timing job

A wedding can absorb a fifteen-minute overrun. A corporate program usually can't — there's a hard room turnover, a CEO with a flight, or a venue charging by the quarter hour. So the useful skill isn't the playlist. It's reading a run sheet, knowing which segment always runs long, and having the next cue ready before anyone looks over.

That means talking to your AV team before load-in rather than at it, confirming the mic count and who owns the mix, and getting a certificate of insurance to the venue ahead of their deadline instead of the morning of.

Two decades of this, across corporate and event work, most recently in the Pacific Northwest, and now booking Orlando and Tampa for 2027 and beyond.

Event types

What this looks like in practice

Galas & award nights

Walk-in music, an audible award-presentation cue, and a band-or-DJ handoff that doesn't leave a silent room. I read from your run sheet and hold to it, including the part where the program is meant to end.

Product launches & brand activations

Music that supports the reveal instead of talking over it, plus a clean mic path for whoever is presenting. If there's a video or a demo, I'll take audio from your AV team rather than fighting them for the room.

Conferences & general sessions

Session walk-in and walk-out music, breakout transitions, and mic management for panels. Nothing here should be memorable — it should just be smooth and on time.

Holiday parties & company celebrations

The one where the music actually matters. A dance floor that works for a mixed-age, mixed-taste crowd who all know each other, with volume that lets people talk at the tables.

What comes standard

Sound sized to the room

Speech-intelligible PA for the program, scaled up for a dance floor after. Wireless handhelds and lavaliers as needed.

Run-sheet cues

Walk-in, presentation, award, and transition cues built from your program and confirmed in advance.

Paperwork handled

COI naming the venue, W-9, and PO-referenced invoicing, delivered before your deadline.

Adding an open-air photo booth with branded print templates is common for holiday parties and activations.

Corporate event FAQ

Do you work from our run sheet?

Yes. Send the run sheet or program and I'll build my cues from it, then flag anything that looks tight — a five-minute award segment that's really twelve, or a transition with no music budgeted. For corporate work the schedule is the deliverable, so I'd rather find the problem in advance than improvise around it.

Can you coordinate with our AV team or the venue's in-house crew?

Yes, and it usually goes better when we talk before load-in. I'll confirm who owns the mix, what I'm patching into, how many mics are needed and of what type, and who is running video audio. If the venue requires everything through house sound, that's fine — I plan for it rather than showing up with a competing PA.

Do you provide MC services, or just music?

Both. I can handle announcements, introductions, sponsor mentions, and keeping the program moving, or stay entirely off the mic if you have your own host. Tell me which and I'll stay in that lane.

Do you carry liability insurance and can you provide a COI?

Yes. Most Central Florida hotels, convention spaces, and corporate venues require a certificate of insurance naming them as additional insured, and I can provide one on request. Send me the venue's requirements and the name to list and I'll get it over before your deadline.

Can you invoice through our procurement process?

Yes. W-9, standard invoicing, net terms, and vendor onboarding paperwork are all workable. Corporate clients usually need a PO reference on the invoice, so send that along with the booking details.

What does a corporate event cost?

It depends on hours, the number of rooms or zones, mic count, and whether lighting or a photo booth is included, so corporate work is quoted per event rather than packaged. Send the date, venue, headcount, and program length and you'll get a flat quote.

Send your program

Date, venue, headcount, and program length is enough for a flat quote. If you have a run sheet or an AV contact, send those too.
