Two things make Orlando weddings different from most markets. The first is the venue mix: a lot of resort and resort-adjacent properties, each with its own AV rules, curfews, and load-in windows. The second is the guest list. More of your people are flying in than in almost any other city in the country, which changes how the first two hours of a reception actually behave.
Both are planning problems more than music problems, and both are solvable before the day. I confirm the venue's sound restrictions and load-in in writing, and I build the timeline around staggered arrivals instead of a printed schedule that assumes everyone walks in at once.

What changes room to room
Orlando venues fall into four rough buckets, and each one changes the setup more than it changes the playlist.
Resort ballrooms & Lake Buena Vista
Resort properties near Lake Buena Vista and Celebration run on their own rules: fixed load-in windows, house sound you may or may not be allowed to tie into, in-house AV that needs a patch plan, and hard curfews. I confirm the load-in time and the sound restrictions with the events manager in writing before the week of, so there is no negotiating with a loading dock at 3pm on your wedding day.
Winter Park & lakeside estates
Estate and lakeside venues around Winter Park and Maitland are usually gorgeous and acoustically unhelpful — hard water reflections, long open sightlines, and neighbors close enough to matter. These get a tighter, more directional speaker placement and a lower stage volume with more fill, so the dance floor is loud and the property line is not.
Garden & outdoor ceremonies
Kissimmee and Apopka garden venues mean an outdoor ceremony, which means an afternoon rain plan that actually exists. Gear stays under cover or under a tent I can strike in five minutes, and we agree in advance on the call time for moving indoors so nobody is deciding that during the processional.
Downtown & industrial spaces
Downtown Orlando ballrooms, Thornton Park lofts, and converted industrial rooms are the easy ones acoustically but the hardest logistically: freight elevators, shared loading, and parking that has to be sorted a week out.
Who shows up
The person you talk to is the person who shows up.
Several of the larger Orlando entertainment companies run a roster of twenty or more DJs and assign yours closer to the date. If that's the route you go, it's worth asking who specifically is working your wedding and whether you'll meet them first.
Here there's nothing to assign. Every planning call, timeline, and event is the same person — which is also why the calendar is finite and peak dates go early.

Are you booking Orlando weddings now?
Yes, for 2027 and beyond. I relocate to Central Florida in May 2027 and am booking Orlando-area dates from that point forward. Booking early locks your date and your pricing while the calendar is still open.
Which Orlando-area cities and neighborhoods do you cover?
Orlando proper plus Winter Park, Kissimmee, Celebration, Lake Buena Vista, Winter Garden, Apopka, Sanford, and Altamonte Springs, and neighborhoods including Downtown, Baldwin Park, Lake Nona, Dr. Phillips, Thornton Park, and College Park. Travel inside the metro is included. For venues outside it, I quote the travel fee up front rather than adding it later.
Most of our guests are flying in. Does that change anything?
It changes the timeline more than the music. Orlando weddings pull a high share of out-of-town guests, which usually means a later real start than the invitation says, a longer cocktail hour, and a crowd that needs warming up rather than one that arrives ready. I build the first hour assuming arrivals are staggered, and I keep the dance floor opener flexible instead of locked to a printed time.
Can you work with our venue's in-house AV or sound restrictions?
Yes, and I'd rather sort it early. Some resort and hotel properties require you to run through house sound or cap output at the board. I contact the venue's events contact ahead of time to confirm what I can patch into, what the decibel limit is, and when the hard stop is, then plan the setup around those answers.
Do you provide ceremony sound and MC services?
Both are included in every wedding package: ceremony PA, wireless mics for vows and readings, processional and recessional cues, and MC work for introductions, toasts, and reception pacing. Same person all day, so nothing gets re-explained to a second vendor.
What do Orlando weddings cost?
