Check availabilityMusic for people who all know each other
Private parties are the least formulaic work there is. There's no standard timeline, the guest list is usually one tight social group, and the whole thing lives or dies on whether the music matches that specific room. A set that kills at a wedding can fall flat at a 50th birthday, because the crowd is not a cross-section — it's a cohort.
So the planning is short but specific: who's coming, what they grew up on, what you absolutely don't want played, and when the night has to end. That's usually enough.

Occasions
What changes by occasion
Milestone birthdays
A 30th and a 60th are not the same job. The music has to carry a specific group of people who mostly know each other, which means leaning on what that room actually grew up on rather than what's charting. Send me the guest of honor's age and a few artists they love and I'll build from there.
Quinceañeras
The formal portions — entrance, vals, padrinos, the surprise dance — need cues and an MC who won't fumble names or Spanish pronunciation. I'll go through the order with you and your choreographer in advance, then run bilingual announcements and a set that moves between Latin and current tracks.
Anniversaries & family celebrations
Usually three generations in one room. That's a volume problem before it's a music problem: loud enough for the people dancing, quiet enough that the folks at the far table can still hear each other. Zoned volume, not one setting for the night.
Pool, backyard & waterfront parties
Outdoors in Central Florida means heat, afternoon rain, and neighbors. Gear stays covered and on GFCI power, and I plan a real rain contingency rather than hoping. If there's a noise ordinance or an HOA cutoff, tell me the time and I'll build the night to land before it.
Graduations & reunions
Reunions in particular are a request-heavy room, which is fine — I take requests and filter them against your do-not-play list so nobody hijacks the night.
What comes standard
Sound for the space
Scaled to the room or the yard, with a wireless mic for toasts and announcements.
Your list, your limits
Must-plays, a do-not-play list, and guest requests filtered against both.
Add-ons
Uplighting, dance-floor effects, and an open-air photo booth.
Planning a wedding instead? That has its own packages and pricing. Corporate events are handled here.
Private party FAQ
Do you take requests during the party?
Yes, filtered against whatever you've told me in advance. You give me a do-not-play list and any hard rules — no explicit lyrics before a certain hour, nothing from a particular ex-era, whatever it is — and I take guest requests inside those limits. You don't have to police it yourself.
Can you MC in Spanish as well as English?
Yes, bilingual announcements are available and common for quinceañeras and family celebrations. Send me the names and titles you want used and how they should be pronounced, and I'll run through them with you before the event rather than guessing on the mic.
We're outdoors. What happens if it rains?
We agree on the backup before the day, not during it. That means either covered placement, a tent I can set under, or a defined indoor fallback spot, plus a call time for making the decision. Central Florida afternoon storms are predictable enough that this should just be part of the plan — the failure mode is having no plan, not the rain.
Is there a noise cutoff we should know about?
That depends on your neighborhood or HOA, and it's worth checking before you set an end time. Tell me the cutoff and I'll structure the night so the peak lands well before it and the last thirty minutes wind down, instead of getting shut off mid-song.
How long do you play, and what's included?
Private parties are quoted by hours and by what the space needs, since a 40-person backyard and a 200-person hall need different setups. Sound, an MC if you want one, and a wireless mic are standard. Uplighting and a photo booth are add-ons.
What does a private party cost?
Quoted per event rather than packaged, because hours and setup vary so much. Send the date, location, guest count, and how many hours you want covered and you'll get a flat number.
